... 5pm departure to about 9am arrival. Drinks with dinner were almost required [not really, but the flight attendant did ask everyone if they would like wine with their meals]. The flight meals also included what was to be the beginning of an endless stream of tea with milk and sugar available. Mmmm! Unable to sleep on the plane, we arrived at the international terminal in Heathrow.

We got in pretty late around 12:30 A.M., and we were dead tired at that point. We were upgraded though to a double-king bed room, complete with a sofa/office area, two king-sized beds, a balcony, and a full-sized refrigerator. Not that we needed really any of the extra stuff, it was cool to have a mini-suite to sleep in because that’s exactly what we needed: a good night’s ...

... the Apollo spaceship, couldn't face another 2 queues. We got through around 4 and we had arranged to go out for dinner with friends Rob & Lisa but they lived north of Houston and the traffic was awful going into the city so by the time we would have got there & found somewhere to stay it would be really late so we had to let them know that we wouldn't make it, a real pity as we had been looking forward to seeing them again. We carry ...

... Houston about 4:15 and going in was OK, but then we had to drive through and out. That put a crimp in our time, but not too badly. There was only one time when we actually had to stop. By the time we left Houston in the rear view, it was close to 6pm and getting dark, but we kept pushing on.

We arrived at Gulf Coast RV Resort in Beaumont about 7pm and had to hook up in the dark, but we did and got everything inside settled. Now it's time for a good night sleep.
