      ... hike on Valentine's Day (also our anniversary 8 yrs!), we had an absolutely scrumptious meal there. Such a treat! Enjoy the pictures of Big Bend National Park and then make your own plans to get there someday. It's fabulous. In some of the pictures you may have to look closely to find Shane and/or me. We pale in comparison to the massive rocks and canyon walls. As I type we are back in civilization, alas, ...

         A nice Passport America park - full hookups, drive thru sites, and a continental breakfast every morning that includes fresh-made Texas-shaped waffles, as well as biscuits and gravy, bagels, and lots of other good stuff!    Laundry was small, but very clean, and only $1/wash/dry.  A good place to get all caught ...

      ... the past, mainly lack of one and maybe hard hearted, but that's another story. We pulled off the super slab and went into a truck stop to sit a spell. Had us lunch, took a nap, and watched the trucks drive around the lot. After about 3 hours, the rain stopped and off we went again. Ran into more rain, we did. Twasn't to bad tho and we met Edna.       ... and grow curious about the gators and other creatures in the park and even got to experience them up close.
      - It cost me $15 to enter the park, but parking was free.
      - After hanging with the gators, we were so scared for our lives that we hid in the car the rest of the day, then fell asleep next to the road.
