      ... called Hermann. Bob and I riding we have lost Dutch Paul again. We arrive in Hermann both our bikes on petrol fumes having covered about 230 miles since we last filled up.

      Up before the crack if dawn...4am to be exact. 21 minutes later we were on the road! Yay! No one slept in the car, boo. By 6:30 we were in Iowa. Coolest rest stop ever.       ... worn my mud boots because the sky was black and the wind was picking up. 5 minutes later, as gates were about to open, the skies opened instead and Elisa and I opted to let everyone into the tent to get out of the storm. As quickly as it started, the black clouds moved away and we were all soaked but happy to see sunshine again.
