... Detroit. There was so much construction we couldn't really get to the arch or back on the freeway...needless to say, been there done that, don't need to do it again. Pulled into Sikeston at 5pm. ... the other side of the road. Seriously? We hoped it was just a coincidence, but realized it wasn’t. I’ll just leave it at that. The laundromat was housed in a storefront attached to a house and when we walked in, it looked like we were entering someone’s basement. ... went several hundred miles out of our originally planned route was to avoid the predicted devastating storms – we see that we are just behind one storm and just ahead of two more coming behind. Amazingly, we seemed to have traveled within a storm break all the way – storms ahead ! storms behind ! All the way from the pacific northwest. Other than a strong tail wind pushing us along, we never saw even a glimpse of them.
