... called Hermann. Bob and I riding we have lost Dutch Paul again. We arrive in Hermann both our bikes on petrol fumes having covered about 230 miles since we last filled up.

Up before the crack if dawn...4am to be exact. 21 minutes later we were on the road! Yay! No one slept in the car, boo. By 6:30 we were in Iowa. Coolest rest stop ever. ... the other side of the road. Seriously? We hoped it was just a coincidence, but realized it wasn’t. I’ll just leave it at that. The laundromat was housed in a storefront attached to a house and when we walked in, it looked like we were entering someone’s basement.
