... and wandered into the Pantheon which always amazes me. People using phones and talking loudly despite signs saying not to, a bit disrespectful. Technically now a catholic church but a real monument 2000 years old.
Walked back to the river by way of a supermercarto and then back home. We all really enjoyed the walk as it is the best time of day in Rome. A lovely end to a predominantly travel day here in the Eternal City.

There's a massive line to get to the Colosseum, but I alternate zoning out and discreetly working my way in front of people when there's movement, and eventually get my ticket. The long lunch hour gave me time to read up on the Colosseum's history; it's had a lot of uses over the years.
