... it had gotten cold in our room. The windows were very thin and the cold air from outside was now also inside our room. We put the second blanked on our beds and left a lot of clothes this night to feel warm enough. A hot shower helped to get back to normal and a hot soup for dinner was necessary not because of hunger but because of the need to get some heat inside.

... playing a very exciting game of euker with Mitch, Luke and David, it was a lot of fun.Dinner was great, one of the dishes they served us was orange chicken almost, it was fantastic. Mitch has this theory that the reason why we don't have all the Chinese food in America is bc we've weeded out all the bad stuff and kept the good, and with this chicken I'm pretty much sold on that fact. The history of Jinhua goes back to the 2nd century BC, when it was a country subordinate to Shaoxing. It was given the name Jinhua under the Sui Dynasty in 598, and later became the seat of a prefecture. The present city and its walls date to the time of the Mongol emperors in 1352. The most famous native of Jinhua is the Immortal Huang, a Daoist holy man of the 4th century AD, whose descendants still live in the area.
