      Leaving Phuket

A travel blog entry by mrado on Nov 06, 2014

We had a quiet morning packing, then went to our last Buffet Brekkie at Katathani before heading out to Phuket airport to catch a flight back to Bangkok. Upon our arrival we caught a cab to the Renaissance Hotel. Now this was a step up from the Novotel where we stayed first. The room was small but really nice and comfortable. We decide to dump our bags and head out to Central Embassy, having read an article on our inflight magazine talking about the unusual design. This building ...

... on the top of the boat staring up at the stars. After another amazing breakfast on Friday morning, we started our sail back to Phuket, this time properly sailing as the wind was strong enough, which was a great way to end the few days on the boat. Terry asked, on the basis of the reasons below, whether a deduction could be considered: 1) Cold eggs for breakfast every morning - TRUE 2) No Museli this morning - TRUE 3) I had cut my foot on the periphery of their land - NOT QUITE TRUE. His argument seemed a little weak, even to me, so I was absolutely GOBSMACKED when ...

... We have a pool right outside our door and we are 10 metres from the beautiful beach. We're currently sitting on a huge wooden bed on the beach, looking out to the most amazing view of the sea whilst sipping a cold Chang beer with the sun on our backs. Living the life! We have a feeling these next 3 days on Koh Lanta will be a lovely relaxing break from the crazyness of Phi Phi! We will update you in a few days about our adventures on this beautiful island :) Much love, the princess and the frog ...

Up and at me early as we are to be picked up by the tour bus at 8 to visit the Phi Phi islands. We open the curtains and the monsoon rains are teeming down so it's a mad dash to the restaurant for breaky when the rain stops so we cross fingers it will stay that way for our day out. The bus picks us up and drops us at the Marina for our cruise. We pass a yacht that is half sunk in the bay. All the little islands jutting out of the ocean look from the distance like ships or houses they are ...
