Unfortunately when I flew into Hong Kong on Saturday I had an aisle seat and not the window. It was a beautiful clear day and I could have gotten some terrific shots of the city as we flew in. It was amazing to see the city, the islands, and the shipyards from the air. For the first two nights in Hong Kong I stayed at the HK Downtown Backpackers. The two of them are like polar opposites, which I guess makes it easy for them to travel together. Hong does all the work and Nana just asks how much! Anyway the two of them came to Lo Wu to pick me up and we went for early morning dim sum - it was 9am, I was well tired! The 3 of us have an unusual way of communicating, Hong can speak and understand both Canto and Mando, Nana ...

Tues 5th Nov A quiet day today perusing the shops. I have never seen so many high end stores in such close proximity. London certainly cannot match it. I think I have seen every designer of all nationalities. The Chinese certainly do like their labels. I am not in shopping mode as this is not that sort of trip, but fortunately, even if ...
