We were planning to go to Liechtenstein but thought we may as well as it was sort of on our way. It's the worlds 6 smallest country so it would have been rude not to go..haha.

We didn't drive to the main town but to another.. where really there wasn't anything. I did get a photo with the tourist sign though. Had to somehow prove I'd been there!
Liechtenstein, Liechtenstein emmasadventures...
Obersaxen, Switzerland acgwhaleWe continued on the roadbook without too much of a problem, driving through some really pretty towns and villages. We stopped at a post office, to get stamps, just in case the postcard shops didn't sell them. The change we got in Liechtenstein came in handy here! The route took us into a small town which had a Subaru dealer, so we stopped for a few bingo card photos. As we drove away from there, we saw a ...
Landquart, Switzerland dirtyweekenders... us through a shopping centre. There we spotted a couple of uniforms, which just had to be policemen, so we decided to chance our luck. When we explained the mission, they were more then happy to oblige with the photo of the team and one of them. The next question was the 'handcuffs' photo. As I was speaking in German to them, I managed to det the idea over, but the policeman ...
Vaduz, Vaduz, Liechtenstein dirtyweekendersOur third stop of the day was our first in Austria. Now I was entering undiscovered lands! Feldkirch is right on the Switzerland border. The old town centre is surrounded by towers, and a castle sits on a hill above.

We explored Feldkirch and a few of its towers. The old town is quite charming with its colorful buildings, trickling fountains, and small shops. When we tried to ...
Feldkirch, Austrian Alps, Austria travelingdiva... the pedestrian street. I also stopped for a bite to eat in a small kebab eatery.

On the bus back to Sargans, I got off at a stop in Balzers so I could check out another castle - the one we passed on the bus journey to Vaduz. This one is also a private one, it turns out, so I couldn't go inside it either. It sits on top of a steep hill wrapped in vineyards. I walked around a bit until another bus came along and headed back to Sargans.
Vaduz, Liechtenstein travelingdiva... and maybe ski very soon! Bianca's family has been amazing and so welcoming to me (even though I can barely communicate with most of them). It's been a wonderful experience to meet this side of the family. Tonight we are taking the night train to visit Bianca's father side of the family in the regions around Graz. We'll check in soon with more updates! Happy Easter and hope all is well at home... Until Next Time, Bianca and Michael (with a side of Carmen)
Schruns, Austrian Alps, Austria mjs81... more and more people, with their skis and boards in their arms, boarded the train. by the end, I felt that I was in a ski telecabine. when i disembarked, I boarded a real telecabine which took me up the Obertertyen, and then to the resort of Flum-ser-berg. It was snowing heavily when i arrived, and it only stopped when i stopped for lunch. I walked into the Gesthaus, and just stared at the menu on the wall, in horror. there was not a word of ...
Untertertzen, Switzerland zzmatt... What a view! I wish I could afford to live here. As it is, I’m sure the only reason we came is because it’s the 'off’ season.

Switzerland is one of the most expensive countries in Europe, so you know just how expensive it must be to live in St. Moritz. We took a little stroll through town before we had lunch and after lunch we did a bit more sightseeing, while the Others (Shirley & company) went shopping. As in Lucerne, you find a new and big (or ...
St. Moritz, Swiss Alps, Switzerland pemalak... finished our walk this morning the weather turned cloudier and cooler. We came back upstairs to our room for a little rest. I can’t believe that I’m still tired, even after being outside and walking around, so I lay down for about an hour. After our little break, we headed out (once more) to tackle the mountain behind the hotel. Just to get to the paths up to the mountain, I was huffing and puffing (have to note here that Bev took advantage of each rest stop ...
