... ticket offices alone! So we were on our way on the 10am Shonan-Shinjuku line train to Odawara. The train wasn't the best as it stopped often. What was meant to be a 40min trip ended up twice that long. But we got to see a bit of the countryside. ... On top of that, there was ice cream waiting for us for dessert. Nobody seemed to care that it was quite cool outside and just about everyone enjoyed cookie crumble ice cream to top off a wonderful dinner.

It was a long day and tomorrow looks to be possibly be another long day again. We will check out a few last sites around Tokyo before relocating to Osaka via the Shinkansen or bullet train! Check back tomorrow to find out what happens on Day 3.

There are many other touristy things to do around the lakes and it depends on what you want to do. There are lots of museums and crafty things all around the lakes.Its worth going just for the view. I recommend staying at Koe house japanese style which is super close to the station.

... This stretches for approximately 10 kilometers, which makes it a short trip for my standards. But the trail itself is really amazing and every few hundred meters I had to stop to take some pictures. You walk along high cliffs and pass an old temple and two suspension bridges. ... guesthouse that had nice views and was cheap and thus turned out to be great. Dumping our bags and getting orientated, we charged up the hill and 5 zillion stairs to see the sun set and get some beautiful views of the volcano. We had about 20 minutes then the sun vanished, clouds came over and it disappeared from view. It seemed like an evening for a beer, luckily we needed a shop to buy our morning yoghurt.
