... up with Roy and Irene and good to see her on her feet after her back problems :-) Up to the Crows nest for the customary pint then down to the cabin and a bottle of our expensive Chinese wines. It worked out at around 24 Juan per bottle, about £2.40, I think the term is quaffable ;-) we've certainly drunk worse ;-) I'll let you know tomorrow if there are any headache problems ...

Oh my word what a day. Jammed packed, tiring but wonderful!!!! Xiamen is as different to Shanghai as London would be to Haverhill. Shanghai has a population of 24 million, Xiamen (pronounced Sha men) has just over 4 million. There are open spaces here, lots of park areas as well as formal gardens. ... back to the ship. Showered and changed for dinner at 6:30 but managed to find time, for a pint in the pub before :-) Full table at dinner, that's the second time this week, after this we went to the Curzon for the second and final show from the Opera Boys. Today is cccccold and wwwwindy!!! Sea is quite calm. There is a lot of sea fog around, so not a very nice day. It's amazing who you meet when you are so far from home.
