35 Brisbane Road Mooloolaba, Queensland, Australia, 4557, 07-5478-3911-
Mooloolaba in the sunshine coast. We came here for the sun and the chance to go to Australia zoo (you know... the one where Steve Irwin worked). In Mooloolaba I met up with an old colleague I used to work with at Goldman Sachs in 2001 who had flewn from London to OZ for a week's hols. Anyway, was great to catch up with Derek and, again, cheers for the meal! The next day we got picked up with the Zoo bus and headed for the ever expanding Australia Zoo. The day was great and we saw many animals...

... are much nicer than British canals - beach-lined with Stingray swimming in there!
That day Bec finished work early so we headed to her local Surf Club on the beach for wine and girly catch-ups! Nev and their friend Tony joined us... was a fun evening catching up, and Bec won wine and a hat in the raffle! And poor Nev ordered the prawns which were literally 5 little prawns on a massive plate.... mean!

On the Friday, while they were at work i went to explore Mooloolaba ...

Mooloolaba, Queensland, Australia kikiblogtrotApril 29, 2009 We have just had a couple of days at Mooloolaba in a caravan site right by the beach. Literally we just have to walk about 20 metres to the beach! There is a great walk for early in the morning out to the point and then a stroll back along the beach - indeed I saw a lady in a work uniform walking to work along the beach - I like the thought of that! Steve could not find quite so many interesting cycling paths though. So ...
Noosa Heads, Australia mugita... paar Tooheys (extra dry *grins*)ausklingen lassen.
Mooloolaba, Queensland, Australia pacificoceanSooo it's been crazy-busy lately! Back in October we had a week off after finishing course work and before doing the second placement. So we (Lisa, Amanda, Eric and I) decided we would go to Melbourne to see the musical "Wicked". This time around was much better - we stayed at a hostel in downtown Melbourne (literally a block away from Flinders Station). Although the service was slow it was really nice. Little did we ...

Noosa, Queensland, Australia chrisstambo... I was in the last group of three. We came to a turn in the river with the rain and wind picking up. We looked round and seen brian and girl he was partnered with capsizing. Keaney and I got into the one cannoe and went over to help them as they weren't able to get the water out of the cannoe. We towed them back to the river bank and got the cannoe emptied. They lost their paddles during this so we put 3 people in each cannoe and all the gear in ...
Noosa, Australia smc_mahonWe really enjoyed our extended stay at Maleny Showgrounds, not only is it a beaut spot to stop, it is so central to everything, all the tourist drives, the coast, the zoo etc. There are a few reasons for us being in the same spot for a bit longer than usual, two of our kids and their partners have been up here for a break. These are the two couples responsible for our proposed extended stay in Adelaide next year ...
