April 29, 2009   We have just had a couple of days at Mooloolaba in a caravan site right by the beach.  Literally we just have to walk about 20 metres to the beach!  There is a great walk for early in the morning out to the point and then a stroll back along the beach - indeed I saw a lady in a work uniform walking to work along the beach - I like the thought of that! Steve could not find quite so many interesting cycling paths though.  So ...

... um überhaupt an das Gaspedal zu kommen. Und los ging's - die Mantra: links, links, links.... Die Fahrt nach Noosa Heads wäre ohne den bereits erwähnten Dauerregen eigentlich ganz schön gewesen. Noosa haben wir uns als kleines Örtchen mit tollem Strand und ein paar Restaurants vorgestellt, nichts da, Mallorca lässt grüssen! Irgendwie waren wir ohne das Surfbrett unter dem Arm ziemlich deplaziert, haben aber dann doch die unerschrockenen Surfer ...

Nach rund 44 Stunden Action und (neuen) Eindrücken konnte ich endlich in Davids Bett fallen, dass er mir für die nächsten 3 Nächte überlassen hat. 16 Stunden später wurde ich durch ein sehr merkwürdiges Geräusch wach. ... C'etait Hyper Trippan!! Nous etions 14 personne en tout 2 par canoe. Le 1er jour on a fait 3 hrs de canoe pour arriver ver les 15h a notre campement et commencer a boir/manger. hihihi Nous avons eu tellement de fun tout la gang ensemble!! Nous Avons joue a 2-3 jeu de beuverie et avons bouffe des bonnes soups!! ... I was in the last group of three. We came to a turn in the river with the rain and wind picking up. We looked round and seen brian and girl he was partnered with capsizing. Keaney and I got into the one cannoe and went over to help them as they weren't able to get the water out of the cannoe. We towed them back to the river bank and got the cannoe emptied. We really enjoyed our extended stay at Maleny Showgrounds, not only is it a beaut spot to stop, it is so central to everything, all the tourist drives, the coast, the zoo etc. There are a few reasons for us being in the same spot for a bit longer than usual, two of our kids and their partners have been up here for a break. These are the two couples responsible for our proposed extended stay in Adelaide next year ...
