This week was Carnival where numerous events occurred all over the island. Carnival usually starts at the Dimarche Gras Show and run through J’Ouvert. Monday morning around 3am was the Jab-Jab or Devil Mas where bands parade through the town with tar and grease on their bodies trying to terrify onlookers. It can get pretty wild and the town ...

... Vera, lemongrass, Sorel blossoms, Tamarind and Avocado trees, grapefruit and cashew trees. The gardens are carefully tended, the houses look well kept many with red tiled rooftops giving it a very continental air about it. The spice market is colourful too and the busy streets give the whole place an air of prosperity.

There are of course some very affluent people here enjoying places such as Sandals and the Cinnamon Resort and many impressive gated ...

Shaun had an interesting way of serving out the punch; he would swim on his front with his face under water and the tray balanced on the back of his head. You couldn't see him in the water; all you could see was a tray of rum punch coming towards you! We helped ourselves and swam around and sang and danced; basically we were having a party in the sea!
