We hit the "buffet sweet spot" today! 10:55am... Breakfast price for lunch food...which doesn't sound like a big deal, except it was at the Wynn. And that is a really big price jump! The buffet was excellent, but the one at Caesars can't be beat. Another road trip day. A short drive outside of town and we entered Red Rock Canyon preserve. It's a 13 mile loop through some beautiful mountains, but it's nothing ...

When you are still in pajamas at noon, the vacation is a success! We put our faith in Yelp and eventually headed to a very highly rated Mexican restaurant that just happens to share a building with...wait for it...a strip club! Not just any strip club, the largest strip club in the world (or so the sign says). The restaurant reviews said to overlook that fact, and good thing we did because the food was excellent. We wasted the rest of the day at an outlet mall ...

... wanted to do the sampler of coke flavors from around the world. We didn't know we would get 16 of them!!! See pic. We wandered around the strip for hours (we are experts at ******* a day away), stopping to see the Bellagio fountains and the volcano explosion at the Mirage at night. That was about it for us. Tomorrow we may go out to Antelope Canyon, but it's still up in the air. Stay ...

2for1 Breakfast at the hotel today, actually I enjoyed it much better than yesterday's huge buffet selection as it was all cooked fresh. Hour or so drive to Hoover Dam another $100 (everything seems to cost that for us lot), Peter & I actually did this on one of our first visits but of course we've forgotten most of it - it's good for the children though and of course the sheer size of it is always so impressive. Didn't hang around Lake Mead as so hot and we wanted to go back to ...

Up early and we go to Monte Carlo for their buffet breakfast. It was quite ridiculous, everything was there: fried chicken, roast beef, soups, noodles, pastas, an omelette bar where you got the chef to make your choice, every kind of breakfast cereal/waffle/french toast/cereal/fruit/egg/sausage/bacon/gr its/biscuits/bagels/Danish/cakes - I could go on but just thinking about it again makes me feel a bit queasy as I hate seeing loads of ...
