Tropical Storm Ernesto has come and gone, and I was afraid that it would really screw with my vacation, but it's not so bad. There will be scattered showers everyday until I leave, but I DID come to Barbados during the rainy season, so it was a little bit expected. The clouds just mean more protection from the sun! ... our fare and the bus driver actually stopped the bus and walked all the way back of the bus to give us our change! So nice! It was about an hour ride to Spieghtown where we were suppose to take a connecting bus further North. We lost our way a bit in the town but a nice lady from the local school walked us all the way to the main bus terminal. Then the wild ride began! The beautiful mahogany forest at the Barbados Wildlife Reserve is home to a large troop of Barbadian Green Monkeys and a reserved habitat for a lot of wildlife. The monkeys are very inquisitive and will attempt to interact with with visitors so be sure to keep a safe distance.

... 5 feet of water, the bottom, not much deeper, and 100' long. Not much to see wreck wise, but as an artificial reef it was fantastic. Like the other islands, schools of fish darting in and out of the wreck and swarming so close I could almost kiss them (amazing when you come f2f with brilliantly coloured tropical fish). I started counting how many different types of fish I could see, some I've even had in our aquarium back home. Some, I only wished I had in our aquarium!
