The winery was owned by Michael Wright who set his mind on buying a winery and bought 'the Freycinet" in 1991, renaming it the Voyager. At one of the wineries there was a tree with sign of beware of the "drop bears" we had seen these signs before and were wondering what a "drop bear" was. Looking up into the tree was ...

Thriving is a word that comes to mind. We shall return here, no doubt. My next blog, probably tomorrow, will be dedicated to Cowaramup..... Locally, or more specifically regionally, referred to as Cow Town.... If you get a chance, look it ...

... Our first stop for the day was Cape Grace Wines, a small winery with a very cute dog. We had a look around the winery and climbed up a ladder into the fermenting buckets filled with juicy red grapes! We were given six tastings of white and red wines - yum! Bernard handed out cheese and biscuits, a perfect mid-morning refreshment! Next we moved onto The Houghton Winery. As we continued with our tastings, this time also trying red and white port, ...
