... talked a bit about football as him and his Mrs lived in Ipswich for a while. Funny thing was he supported Man U and also liked Liverpool & Chelsea. Didn't really like Man City or Arsenal. I didn't ask him about Spurs - didn't want to have to give him the sleeper!

... Riconsisto Del Mar Mexican restaurant and went inside. It was empty! It looked more like a diner, with booths and all, but the bottles of Corona beer (with wedges of lime in the neck, of course) were so gourgeously smooth and cold and for both of us.

Joss had a big whole grilled fish of some description and John had fahitas with the biggest skillet of sizzling beef strips he had ever seen. Not a hamburger in site.

Have we ever said "what a totally excellent day" yet?

... nope, drive over here, nope, drive over there, nope. Finally, after a call to his sister, Kelly, we figured out where it actually was. Thank goodness! Finally, we made a stop by a surprising Bob's in Norco. It was Andrew's birthday after all. He got his usual hot fudge cake & I got some ice cream thing. We saw the former site of the purported sparkly rock. It was a great day for all & we'll go back when there aren't so many people there, or not!

... and very good it is to. The well-earned supper which we had been so looking forward to went very wrong when the fuel became over excited and destroyed one cooker before refusing to work on our back up stove. So, it was cold baked beans, cold frankfurters and uncooked hash browns. Being a Sunday it really made me think how much I would like my Mums Sunday Roast.
