Having left Singapore at 6:40 am Tuesday morning, I arrived in Marmaris, Turkey about 11 am this morning (Wednesday) - roughly 36 hours in that travel leg, taking account of time differences. I am looking forward to bed tonight - my first night's sleep in a bed since last Sunday night. ... up to a castle at the top which like many medieval fortresses replace Greek and roman temples and reused much of the marble from the prior temples. The view of the Aegean sea from the top was amazing. The top of the castle had ancient roman rooms. You could take a donkey up to the top, but we were advised against it as some people fall off and get injured. I got a nice linen pants and almost left ...

... temporary henna tattoos which gave us a lasting memory of the day.

All in all I hugely enjoyed my time spent in Mugla. It is a small city with no tourists, however this gives you the chance to really explore the Turkish culture.

I would definitely recommend CSV; it gave me the opportunity to meet people from all over the world including Taiwan, Korea and from all over Europe.
