... Went to a nice park off Lake Washington, ate lunch and then headed back to camp (but of course we had to stock up on more food).

One thing I can say about Seattle (and the NW) is that they love the outdoors along with their coffee. They have bicycle paths though parks for miles, many people ride them into work, they have hiking trails all over the place and most of the people own a boat. Stay tuned, onto the peninsula for 4 days...
Everett, Washington, United States psandefur... unlimited we went to the top of the Space Needle. The view is spectacular. If the weather cooperates it is worth the time. Be prepared for crowds though. We also did the obligatory stop at Pike's Market. Interesting and different pretty well covers it. Watch for "flying fish" and I don’t mean the type you see when at sea.

Walking around downtown shows an eclectic ...
Seattle, Washington, United States agimpelsSince most of the attractions open at 10am, we took our time leaving. Plan of attack was to go around the International District, Seattle Art Museum, and whatever else we could fit in. It ...
Seattle, Washington, United States bettadaze... customs officers, and not the other end of the journey. It's currently the Independence Day long weekend in the USA, and people are relaxed and friendly. South in California, they're fighting some fairly aggressive bushfires, but here in Seattle there's a lot of rain - it was even sprinkling as we came in (and it's mid-summer). There is so much green here and so many trees even in the ...
Seattle, Washington, United States meganwadey... put the first ones into use. I can't wait to ride on one. It took us ALL day to do these 2 things. We got back to the Bellevue area in time for a nice downtown traffic jam and, after driving around too much, finally pulled into a burger place for supper to keep from driving anymore. (Having witnessed a somewhat humorous altercation between two motorists on the north side of Seattle earlier today, I'm not any more comfortable with the traffic today than I was yesterday. But ...
Everett, Washington, United States mksquared... Sheryl's milk continues to come in - she pumped 35 ml the other day! We know once she is holding baby KB her milk will be overflowing! They project skin to skin contact will happen with in the next day or so! Sheryl and Alex have shifted into that place of joy, excitement and love over fear, confusion and grief. There are ups and downs, and moments with those feelings - but what new parents don't experience them? Their focus is on connecting with baby Kai and ...
Seattle, United States wildwoman... another week, phewww). Busy week again, started with finding out Mark got the Tarceva for the clinical trial, which sent our spirits soaring. He has been taking it every night since Monday Feb 4th and is now showing a side effect from that medication. The Oncologist mentioned acne is something to be celebrated because it correlates to the success of the medication. Well, Mark has found the fountain of youth; so guess it would follow those ...
Seattle, Washington, United States hoshisan... her way the rock...hands are for balance (note to self, I thought they were for clinging on to dear life), I head off on a scramble attempting to find the route, lose my sunglasses, go back and scramble some more and find them. Sit on a rock and take in teh view of Colchuk- the Valley. Did I mention how much my spirit needed this getaway? Life is damn good. G talks about the human condition of inconsistency and how this allows us to be shifting, changing, to one moment be attracted ...
Seattle, Washington, United States kimshirley28... in the same apartment complex we moved out of. The two bedroom place is so much room! We have both already started up at work and both workplaces are very happy to see us back (very reassuring). Not too much has changed while we were gone. Of course our neighborhood, Ballard, has a zillion more condos and and townhouses. We knew that was coming. There seems to be construction ...
Seattle, Washington, United States thetembas... of exhibits and hands-on fun. In the Sound Lab, we jumped from note to note on an oversize keyboard, trying to preform John Denver's "take me home country roads." Bob Dylan was featured in a seperate area on the 2nd floor with larger than life photos and of course his music. Downstairs in the theatre area you could see some of his first taped performances. Also Jimi Hendrix's huge collection of ...
