We left Hawaii today heading to the main land USA it was a 5 hour trip, we are now in the "City of Angels" it's the second largest city in the United States. We are staying near the famous Santa Monica Pier is within a short walk of our hotel. We have three nights at Santa Monica while we enjoy our look around Los Angeles and it’s surrounds.

The Merry Go Round is in a lovely old building.and it always seems to be full of children. Dunno where they all come from or if they are rent a kid. Always amazes me how many people are not at work or school.
The pier is also the official end of Route 66 which we travelled on very briefly when we went out to the Grand Canyon.
