... other mountains that we have driven past the last few days that have very little vegetation on them. We had a bit of time before dinner so we took a quick look around the town. This area is known for its multitude of temples. We walked along some of the shops and then the market. Je suis arrivée à destination après la nuit tombée et le bus m'a déposée à un carrefour, près d'un pont. L'éclairage public était ...

... us into his home to show us how he lived. He had a turtle in a big bowl of water to bring him longevity. A third stop at the village of ChiKan gave us the opportunity to shop for local produce and souvenirs. Teas, freshly crushed sugar cane juice and peanut brittle were amongst the edibles on offer as well as jewellery, postcards and baskets. Our group of 15 is also now just about able to count to 15 in Mandarin as we use a number role call system to make sure we don't lose ...
