... being away from home, it's our friends.
Han and Ange had booked a helicopter tour after lunch so we split and Aaron and I decided to go to Top of the Rock which provided us with the most amazing view of NYC. Okay, maybe not as amazing as a helicopter but I'm sure it was equally as breathtaking. You could see everything and I could have been up there for hours soaking in the views. Before we came, I heard from a few different people that New York ...

New York City, NY: Day 3

I remember looking at the low lying buildings outside our hotel room the night before - no snow. By the next morning, there were inches and inches of snow! A blizzard had come up over night, and it was vile. Ryan generously volunteered to come along with me on the Sex & the City tour at 11:00 am - he was one of 4 men on the tour lol. We picked up Josh and got back on the subway for a trip down to Battery Park at the bottom end of Manhattan to catch the free ferry to Statten Island which goes right past the Statue of Liberty. FREEZING wind but some good photos. Not sure if we'll do the trip to Ellis Island and see it closer?? We made ...

Red eyes don't quite work depending on how long the flight is. With a flight time of just under 4hrs to Toronto, I definitely could've used a few more hours for zzz's. Instead I trudged through Pearson to catch a short flight to NY. A flight was just boarding but alas not mine, guess it was too close for the airline to risk linking them instead. I don't remember the commuter flight much, except for sleeping through a good portion of it. Small plane in terms of space, but ...

... some breakfast and than run into some minions :) of course we had to have some photos. Finally ready for the day we headed to the 9/11 memorial. From what we had read it would take around 2 hours to visit the site and go through the museum, 5 hours later we were asked to leave as it was closing time, we hadn't even got around to everything. We were lucky enough to watch too presentations whilst there, ...
