... our last day we got a local taxi driver to take us down the road to Negril, another town on the west of the country. There is a great beach there (7-mile beach) and some cliffs with the most amazing turquoise water crashing beneath.<br><br>To sum it up, Mobay served its purpose perfectly: gave us a chance to catch up with Craig, do some swimming, catch a tan, drink some beers but most of all just take it easy and relax and have a holiday form our holiday!

I spent almost a week in Negril, a long stretch of beaches along the western tip of Jamaica. Very popular with tourists. I walked the beach several times and I've been annoyed by the "farmers" and the like on a regular basis. They are sometimes aggressive. Better to walk along the road than the beach at night to/from the restaurant for obvious reasons. Nice sunsets.

Things continue to go well here in MoBay. Last Friday we had our Youth Meeting in St. Ann's. It was so nice to see everyone and spend the night at a hotel with A/C and Hot water. Seeing everyone together, though, really emphasized how few of my group is left... The youth group started last July with 21 people, now there's only 12 of us left. ... re staying this week, Lazy Dayz, is run by a fellow Canadian out of Ontario. In 2004 it was comprised of about 6 rustic cabins, a gazebo style loft, a 2 bedroom guest house, and a really nice beach house where the owner stays when she's in Jamaica, and gets rented out when she's not.
