David drove us down the shore of Strangford Lough so we got a great view of mud flats and islands that weren't islands when the tide is out as it was. At the southern end we took a small ferry across to the town of Strangford and then to visit Castle Ward. However, when we got to the castle we found that it’s not open during the week until July, and then only from 12noon. They don’t seem to expect people to be out and about early anywhere ...
First our family had crepes at the Lemon Crepe and Coffee house, they were delicious. Then We drove away in the car to Wicklow where there was a gaol. It was really creepy because they had ghosts on the walls like a headless man. We had to find seven questions around the gaol and answer them to be free. After that we went swimming in the Irish ...

After a hearty breakfast and some power shopping we checked out of our hotel and boarded the Seabourn Spirit, A slightly younger denographic since the last time we travelled with Seabourn however there was more botox and the odd hair piece per square inch since last time, making us feel somewhat older regardless of what the birth certificates actually say.

Yesterday evening (Monday) was a mixture of good, bad and odd.
The "good" was the Alladin show which was absolutely terrific. It was a version of the Disney cartoon and it ripped along brilliantly, and some of the special effects were jaw droppingly clever, particularly the magic carpet ride. The audience was, as you'd expect, made up of families, and bored, writhing, screaming kids spoilt it a bit, but many of those were torn out of the theatre by their parents leaving us ...
