The speed limit was alarmingly high for how windy the roads were, so I gripped the wheel and furrowed my brow to keep focused and alert.       My brother said he tells people to fly into Vegas at night because the night skyline is spectacular. We checked out the famous vintage "welcome to Las Vegas" sign. It was surprisingly small. There was limited parking space, but people came and went. I also saw elevated trains, but for the most part, people seemed to walk or cab it.

      ... mountains, but a strong cross wind picked up that buffeted me around quite a bit. It was a miserable hour of riding on a road with no shoulder, staring at storms to the right and left, and having to ride back out do the valley through those mountains. No breaks that day.       ... the visitor centre. Another $10 each administration fee and we went into the centre. It was really interesting actually! The history of how it was built and why, what it does and how it helps. It was interesting. We also got to go onto the observatory deck which gave us a better view of the dam.
