This is a class hotel location for visits to Barsa, airport bus leaves you 100 metres from hotel. Close by bars for food and drink. Central location for main attractions all easy walking distance. Rooms are nice and clean. Staff very friendly.

This morning Marky had Iberian brekky! I don't think he liked it all that much , but he certainly enjoyed the local 'good' red wine he had with it ! We then decided we'd see if we could find the Barcelona Cathedral which dates back to the 1200's. We spent quite a bit of time looking at all the alters dedicated to various saints. It was very …

We woke up early - very excited to be heading off to Barcelona today. Got to Heathrow and boarded at 9.30am. When we arrived in Barcelona we were picked up by the Puegot hire people and taken to our hire car. OMG poor Marky had to acclimatize to left hand steering with a right hand gear box and then hit city traffic on the wrong side of the road ( …

... 22 great value for money and the seafood paella was really nice.

We had a look around as it was rudi's first time in Barcelona, so i was the tour guide haha.

We walked all the way along the beach and came back to walk around Las Ramblas, definitely a place you need to visit. Loads of artistic people, amazing paintings, or if you want to paint your face.

The room was ready after 3pm we got back and checked in to room 301 as soon as ...

... square close to the harbour in the darkest part of Barri Gotic a laser projected onto a wall and rising and falling, picking out details on a couple of trees was interesting and appealing but almost impossible to photograph (so we didn’t) and in Born the Sant Augusti monastery had a set of back-lit circular mirrors on the ground created to provide a different perspective on the heavens.

There was an unusually large number of people dressed up as little horses ...

... but I didn't want to go because I read the views were good, but there's not much to see at the castle. I looked on my little paper map, and there I saw Poble Espanyol with a little stone castle picture. Must go there. It was hard to find the entrance from the area I wandered to, but instinct said...go this way (left). I was right, after a longish walk through a bad pedestrian area, it was a better road for cars, I found Poble Espanyol. I even end ...
