This is a class hotel location for visits to Barsa, airport bus leaves you 100 metres from hotel. Close by bars for food and drink. Central location for main attractions all easy walking distance. Rooms are nice and clean. Staff very friendly.

This morning Marky had Iberian brekky! I don't think he liked it all that much , but he certainly enjoyed the local 'good' red wine he had with it ! We then decided we'd see if we could find the Barcelona Cathedral which dates back to the 1200's. We spent quite a bit of time looking at all the alters dedicated to various saints. It was very …

We woke up early - very excited to be heading off to Barcelona today. Got to Heathrow and boarded at 9.30am. When we arrived in Barcelona we were picked up by the Puegot hire people and taken to our hire car. For 2 days I have been unwell. I have a very sore stomach, it cramps and makes terrible sounds and smells. No, I don't trust a ****! No I have not vomited, however I think I am capable of launching missiles from my **** if it were pointed in ...

... I found myself a power point to do some recharging. I spent the next hour or so sitting on my pack- I noticed I was getting some strange looks and that people were sort of taking a wide birth as they walked past. I realized they were trying to work out if I was a begger. I had a little chuckle but really should have put out a cup to see what I got. The strange looks were probably trying to work out why I was begging when I could afford an ...

Streets come alive in Gràcia, Barcelona

... for Parc Guell and Casa Vicens (Gaudy's first major/"important" work). But it would be a real shame not to take some time to enjoy the streets of Gràcia themselves. As we walked towards Casa Vicens, taking our time and taking it in, we stumbled across a real gem (see "More Photos"): First it was the barrels of wine (complete with taps) which caught my attention. Then I heard the Catalan (follow local tongues when travelling and you'll seldom be disappointed) and I ...
