... time, then out again in the evening. So far we have been able to get up in the mornings, take a siesta during siesta time, and go out in the evening.

Yesterday we headed out for the Palacio Real, we did the tour, it was just as wonderful as I remembered. The best part was listening to the kids as they were amazed by the decorations, the painted ceilings, and the tapestries (no velvet Elvises here). We then took the kids to the "royal playground." ... lost. I mean properly lost, as in i cant find my way home, LOST! I can't remember if I turned left or right, I don't recognise that bridge and I now seem to be standing in the middle of a university campus. I do my best to retrace my steps but I'm loosing all sense of direction. After checking in at the apartment I was staying at, we proceeded on to lunch where I met Vivi, Simon’s partner. It was great having someone explain the menu and do the ordering ...

It's a physical and mental challenge but the reward is well worth it. We had stunning views and hardly any fellow pilgrims on the trail. We were able to ...
