... the time of the first prisoners that built the original roads out here. It can't have been an easy job as that old road which run along side the new one we were now driving on went on for miles and was ever so windy.

I actually made it
... to take a mooch down there. As I was about to leave he mentioned a free BBQ on the beach that was arranged for 12pm the same day for people saying at Base. I added my name to the list and began my stroll to the harbour.
Darling Harbour is pretty, filled with over-priced (well, Sydney prices anyway) restaurants, snack bars, shops etc. It's a nice place to walk around and pass the time. That killed a few hours of my time ...
Back home
... a long time. Still, home is where the heart is, so the saying goes. After unpacking, washing, etc, I have spent time downloading photos onto my blog. It is very time-consuming, but I will keep working on it. I will then have it printed as a book...a reminder of a wonderful holiday.
