... had a great day so far but can imagine that during july august this place would be wall to wll with people, we headed home after lunch to take a break from the sun.

After about 2 hours we walked into the village of Firostefani and followed this footpaththat took you into other little villages and you could also look out over into the caldera. It was magical and I wanted to take more photos, but it would just be the same thing, ...

... down to the harbor. It seemed to be a winding path down and back up again if you did not want to take the cable car one direction or the other.

The food was very nice that evening. Tried the txziski for old times sake and it was quite nice.
There were some people sitting next to us that we had seen on the plane coming to Santorini. Started talking to them and they seemed to think the waiters were trying to cheat people for some reason. ...

... was a jolly man, very talkative and sweet. "His wee darling wife" as he called her, was quieter and obviously indulged his outgoing nature. When they said goodbye, they were headed to a karaoke spot to drink a little more to be ready to sing on into the night.By this time, we were covered in a salty film from the sea, dust from the roads of Megalochori and had full stomachs. Our night was complete, so we traveled back to our hotel to prepare to leave for Athens the next ...
