we tendered in to Athinios and went on a tour of the island of Santorini. we starte the tour by going to Profidis Ilias (sic) then toured on the flat side of the island to the very pretty town of Oia.

Later, at the end of the tour we were dropped back in Fira, where we walked down the donkey track to get the tender back to the ship.
Quite a warm day today so the walk down certainly sapped our energy!

      Santoini is just beautiful......

... flight today is to Vienna from Santorini was a short 2 and a half hour flight and a 6 hours and 15 minute stop over. My plane landed at 7:30am and it was 21 0 with a humidity of 86%. During the stop over I went shopping throughout the airport. There was a lot of restaurants that had me intrigued and there were also a number of cute little Viennese Boutiques. I didn't happen to buy many things ...

... this evening as the hotel next door was preparing for a wedding, and the event was to take place right below our balcony. It was a small wedding; bride and groom and 2 others. They had a 2-person string duet which serenaded our early evening. And then we watched the quick ceremony and joined in with the celebrations, cheers and dancing - from our balcony anyway. The fog/mist was really thick now, and the sunset which has been gorgeous from our balcony was invisible. Within ...

Hello Everyone. Apparently there's a few people actully reading this blog. I can only account for four of you but the more the merrier. Yesterday was a transit day. Up at the crack of dawn to get a cab to Piraeus, the main port of Athens. Actually managed to get a decent coffee at a twenty-four hour cafe just around the corner from the hotel. At one euro it was the cheapest coffee we've had and ...

Santorini was very relaxing after spending a whole week eating food, sitting by the pool and watching the amazing sunsets! Unfortunately I'm currently quite sick and have had to spend some time in bed to recover for Mykonos. We spent the first few days in Perissa and Oia and then moved to another hotel just outside of Fira. We have about 20 friends with us at the moment so it's really nice to see some friends after 2 months of being away from ...
