... hours waiting in pizza hut. On the train we say goodbye to the. Sun, sky, moon, stars, it's back to smog for us and into the cold. ..
The first journey was fine, only the usual, people staring and laughing at us, you get used to it fast. The next mission was to find a bus. The lonely planet book said one goes every hour so shouldn't be too difficult. Miriam spots signs that lead to the long distance bus terminal, but that turns out not to exist so ...

The school - being the well oiled sinking ship that it is- got our payments in late and we could not be processed until the following day. I remember looking around with bleary eyes ( the ammonia was clawing ...

... Jeffrey was a specialist in skin diseases and skin complications related to STD's. We stood up and he greeted us with a hand shake. He had an open face and twinkle in his eye. He too had a air of humor about him as he sat down and offered us cola or lemonade. I noticed he had half his index finger missing from his right hand. By this time Andre and I were eyeing out the bottles of wine, hoping to dissolve our social fumblings and lack of Chinese etiquette. As usual, I ended up in ...

We started the day by heading straight to have a cappuccino at the great little cafe we'd found the day before. We then took local Bus 1 to the railway station (for Y1!) where we flagged a taxi to take us to the Western Xia Tombs. At the tombs we munched the leftovers from the previous days dinner for lunch, before going through the gates and getting on an electric car. This took us to an odd museum which we breezed around before following signs to a strange art gallery ...
