... Brandenburg Gates...Then we crossed to the Western side of Berlin and you could see the distinct difference.. Amazing really, to hear the story of the wall and how decided the city was, very hard to imagine living under those conditions with parts of family on one side separated by the wall.. We then went to Checkpoint Charlie which was in part of the No mans land or the Neutral zone, controlled by the Americans, that was really ...

... br> We found a gap in the fencing that surrounded the forecourts and kept walking around until we spotted the shop. We tried the door but it was locked even though there appeared to be people inside. We are not that excited by ...

... br> Whilst waiting to pass through immigration Stu spots Joseph Goebbels in the queue next to us. OK, so he was never a particularly fine example of manhood but for someone who is now 117 years old and has reportedly been dead for 70 years he was looking pretty good. Reports of his Berlin suicide in 1945 were obviously pure propaganda; quite appropriate for Herr Goebbels !!!

Arrived in Poznan-easy leg of tour-only 3 hours from Berlin. Playing amazing heritage listed venue above vegan cafe-lasagne for lunch/dinner-so fulfilling. Walked into surreal double bass and dance performance. Except I thought the dancer was an old drunkard who was annoying the musician. Nope he was part of the act. seriously amazing venue. 1930s cinema. Needed a bunch more people to soak ...
