... the menu was not in Vietnamese. Odd. It was in English, but above the english was something else. Upon asking the friendly waitress which language it was, she explained that thee was a lot of Russian tourists here on holiday (I assume like a Russian version of our Costa Del Sol). Oh well, ll stomachs and we hit the beach.

... said hello a lot and smiled constantly, well what else are you supposed to do when a lady is spooning runny mud over your half naked form and giggling like a schoolgirl? The mud is supposed to remove dead skin cells and deposit minerals into your skin. Then after sitting in the sun to bake we had a communal shower to wash the mud off before soaking in a hot water bath, again communal, for about 10 minutes. A boat cruise of the surrounding islands started mid-morning and was an enjoyable day. The option to snorkel was available, however I only did minimal snorkeling as the ability to breathe whilst underwater is a feeling I find incredibly weird! A lunch consisting of some freshly caught seafood was delicious and plentiful.

... then but we seem to have become accustomed to this. The route soon wound it's way up and around the mountains, which seemed to be topped with cloud. The higher we rose the chillier it got, to the point where Jacqui actually had to put a layer on under her thin longsleeve.
