We were invited out with some of the staff on Tuesday night to Laowi Town to a quiz night which was good fun. We then met Silvie, the CP at Munchner Biergarten, the German bar on Wednesday and the Italian restaurant Thursday evenings.
Ningbo is a lovely city, built on 5 rivers, so was a trading post and from the hotel room you can watch the barges go up and down the river. There are loads of fantastic bars and restaurants and it is now quite trendy.

I know I’ve been talking about shops, malls and markets a lot but seriously, there’s shopping outlets EVERYWHERE!! It’s ridiculous. I mean, even without acetone it makes your head spin. Chinese people (ok, the younger generations) are not entirely capitalist in their mind-set just yet but they’ve definitely embraced consumerism with vigour!!
We left Yuhuan on Tuesday morning and began the 4 hour drive to Ningbo (宁波), arriving in the early afternoon at the Lao Huai Shu Hotel. We had lunch when we arrived and then we were given a bit of free time before we had to report for the concert.
