      Arrived around 5pm.
Reception was quick and informative. Our room is perfect for our needs and at $129/night probably the cheapest we could have found.
We can walk to he centre of town within 5mins.

Well, I didn't exactly need reminding ... I HAD just towed it approx 10km that day ! Dubbo was also where we were camped when all the wild weather came through.  We had lots of wind and small bits of hail every night for the 3 nights we were there, but no damage sustained thank goodness ...

On Friday the visa's came through, knew they would. Well, I did have the fingers crossed a bit more as the days got away. Anyway, that bit is now sorted and now only have to do a final pack of the bag and double check that I have everything. Saturday morning appointment at Sprout Cafe with Sonya to get all the documents, that goes well, the coffee is good, and the spirit in the cafe is good. It's ...

I'm not going to post all hundred or so pictures of all the animals I saw, so you you'll just have to come out and get your own.

We leave Dubbo, and hit the road south for our second geek fix for the day, The radio Telescope at Parkes.

Yes, we're off to see "The Dish" as made famous in the Australian movie of the same name. The gift shop (there is always a gift ...

Well its Tuesday, nearly lunchtime, sitting in Dubbo in the office (f....g boring), thinking of palm tree's, beautiful Thai waiters serving Singha beers, watermelon juice and Pad Thai on a plastic table under an umbrella at a little restaurant, steamy Asian weather, the hustle of Patong, the serenity of the Buddhist temples ................
