5. TOO MUCH MAKE-UP -
-----Most local women considered it absolutely essential that they marry. Such a belief ensured that they would remain subservient to the men in their society, the men they needed. Many young women, who were beautiful naturally, spent a large percentage of their time making themselves up, to look unnatural.

After the difficult process of obtaining an ID (if they do at all) they are subject to the Maltese's bitter racism. Everything from buses driving past them on the stops to looks of disgust on the street, their attitude is horrendous and deplorable.
From the Maltese perspective I can understand that is all very new, as before they would not have such an influx. ...
At breakfast I met the new guests, a Slovenian couple, who are staying in the downstairs bedroom. Manica is a biologist, and Val is an architect, and they are both very friendly and nice. Ippy had jokingly told me that if the new guests were cool enough, we would invite them on a road trip around Malta with us. Val and Manica made the cut, so we all hopped into a rental car (only 18 euros a day!), and were on our way (Rami drove us, he's so brave to drive ...
... are small and others are big. Once you order, they bring the dishes to you in a random order. There are 20 dishes to choose from, but we only selected four as per the waiter's recommendation. We were stuffed after four dishes. We had an Alaskan crab roll, spring rolls which came served in actual springs, lobster escargot with brioche, and a meatball trio. The dishes were all amazing! The waiters had some fun with Amanda. They brought the brioche for the lobster escargot wrapped ...
... after picture we soon found a wax museum giving a walk through history about the knights of malta it was a wonderful experience I'm glad we were able to take. Upon leaving a bride and her groom walked past us in the streets to take up a photo op in the beautiful archway of the side gate of Mdina.
On the way back to our hotel we were able to stop off and see the "Round Church" where a bomb crashed through the ...
