The waiting hall is spectacular. As big as a football field, marbled, and lined with statues of significant US pioneers. The idea was that each state of the union would contribute two statues to the Capitol, and they are scattered around the building. Included in the visitor centre were Helen Keller and the first King of Hawaii - so very diverse people.

On our first real weekend in Colorado, after finally moving into our apartment, we were able to make it to legendary Red Rocks Amphitheater to see Brendan's favorite band, OAR (after stopping at nearby Bear Creek Lake Park).
