We leave Krabi at 4 PM and reach Hua Hin at midnight. We have difficult times finding free rooms, as we didn’t realize it is a Saturday night. Finally we find a hotel that is a little overpriced, but we take it anyway because we ...

As it is 5 to 6 km down the coast, I decided to take a cab down there for 150 baht, about $5. The beach at the base of the mountain is surrounded by a few open air cafes/restaurants. One thing I have found interesting about the beaches around this region is how few the number of ...

Bex, always thinking up enrichments for the monkeys and delighted when bubbles turned out to be so successful at keeping them on their ...

... sometimes she would be acting as though she were the god. It was a pretty weird situation to experience. The people around her were just watching her and one of the woman was translating what she said into Thai. She had the mannerisms of a 4 year old and she didn't really open her eyes when she spoke. Apparently before she was possessed she didn't know any Chinese. Kind of creepy! Afterwards our guide took us to his spiritual teacher who gave us all good ...

Escaped the city and went to the beach

... which was a delicious omlette from a German restaurant. Downside was a family came and sat beside us and had three screaming triplets. I was not pleased! The beach was alright, nothing much to say about it. It was really windy and the water wasn't very nice, guess I shouldn’t have expected much being so close to Bangkok. We had read that you could take horse rides along the beach and sure enough when we got there the horses were lined up. I thought this was a really ...
