... and rely on local staff to look after the place.

The afternoon was spent laying around and resting. Simon and MacKenzie both have colds so need a bit of recovery time and both slept all afternoon. We grabbed an early dinner at the beachside restaurant here at the Sheraton. As we finished eating, a nice little musical act came on to play, but only a few songs in I hit the wall and had to go to bed. The ...

... Roger had his own celebration by drinking 6 pints of Singha beer, the most he has had in one sitting since we left home. Needless to say, the 2 mile walk back to the hotel took longer than it should...it always takes longer when zig-zagging!
We woke on our last morning with clear heads and headed for a grand breakfast at the Centara Hotel, the home of the chocolate buffet we enjoyed 36 hours earlier. It was great to have real crispy bacon... perhaps ...

... house, but a phone call from someone I
hadn't seen in a year came unexpectedly, and I found myself on a bus
heading for Bangkok that evening. I didn't want to leave Henry but I
didn't want to miss a chance to see Song Kran either. Henry told me
to point my finger forward, close my eyes and then let the finger
drop to my knees. Left knee I go and right knee I stay. It was left.
