    ... with Matt on the inflatable being positioned between the two double beds in most hotel room layouts, but a single bed requires more flopping in place than rolling and sprawling. Matt gets tangled or frustrated and we don’t sleep. More recently we’ve tried Matt in his own hotel bed with more space. That means Izze and Paula share the other and I have volunteered to be on the inflatable.

    Today was an adventure. I took off at the perfectly calculated time for the winds to shift, and headed for an alternate route that I had planned yesterday at the library. I passed the Colorado state sign, which was exciting for me because I've never be in this state. My alt route had me cutting through the countryside and passing wheat farms and tractors.     ... were so few places where people lived. The last part of the canyon was very winding with steep walls on both sides. When we came out of the canyon we were again in area of ranches. We connected with Rt. 50 just east of Gunnison. We went right by Western State Colorado University.     Friday 10.17 pm - Day 7 Okay so we decided we needed the sleep and didnt get up at 5 am as planned to shoot the arch in sunrise. Another interesting thing though, is how many nationalities we have seen in these areas. People from France, Germany, New Zeeland, India, Poland I think, Japan ofcourse lol..and some american tourists as well.
