    ... saved us a good 16 mile road walk out there.
    We got to the canyon early the next day. It was stunning, quite literally. The cliffs were so large and steep that they made me dizzy just looking at them.     Today was an adventure. I took off at the perfectly calculated time for the winds to shift, and headed for an alternate route that I had planned yesterday at the library. I passed the Colorado state sign, which was exciting for me because I've never be in this state. My alt route had me cutting through the countryside and passing wheat farms and tractors.
