    ... many outdoor activities (hiking, biking & hunting). 5 days in Paonia went pretty quickly and we took advantage of the rainy weather by staying on the Kavanaugh’s couch and updating blogs and editing photos. We also did ****-loads of laundry which was much needed (thanks guys!). A morning was spent removing everything from the truck so it could be hosed out and we cleaned the inside of the pop-up. Damn red dirt!

    ... around a bend in the creek. While he was gone I watched a Magnolia Warbler preening in a tree across the creek. Then a young family with five kids came and they all walked back the creek in bare feet. Before long Larry came down the creek and showed me the pictures he had taken. He was back there all by himself and I wondered what I would do if he fell or something.

    ... immediately laid all of our stuff out in the parking lot to dry and also filled the two dryers at the hotel. We soon had everything dry enough to pack back up. It is amazing how quickly nylon dries in the sun with a little wind. Diner was at the local Black Eye Pea ( yea, I didn't know they were still around) and it was very good.
