... friends with a group of monkeys. Some of the young ones were chasing each other around and one was pulling apart the new thatching on the camping huts and it's all fun and games until someone decides to steal Clare's crisps and sit on Sparky refusing to move or let anyone into the car! Eventually we did get going after checking for monkey stowaways in the boot and back seats.

... we accidentally flashed with the camera and sprinted off away from us. There were lots of ostriches around towering above the grass, much taller than the zebras (Mum, I think they weighed about 5000kg) and decided we wouldn't want to take one on outside of Sparky. Apparently the advice is to stick your arm high above your head and make a beak with your hand if you do ever end up in and ostrich stand-off.

... of rock shelters in the Drakensberg there are literally thousands of individual rock paintings, with animals, humans, and inanimate objects drawn in black, white, red, orange, and yellow. Many of the rock faces where the art has been found have several layers of paintings superimposed on top of each other.
