We also went to the public beach, it's totally different! Even though there are many Europeans too, Thais are there to sell food, sunglasses or massages. It's pleasant to eat local food on the beach laying under a parasol. We ate grilled calamari, coconut, quail eggs, steamed peanuts, spring rolls, fried shrimps, grilled fish, sun dried fish... We can rent a deckchair for 50 baht a day, so €1.50.
