      ... resides and the Belvedere square that was designed for a previous Pope to enjoy. The gardens were lush and an oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Rome. There was a very unique statue that depicted fertility and they weren't sure if they were eggplants, mangoes or teats hanging around her waist.       ... and pastries in the square. We had a visit to San Gimignano which had an awesome view from the ruins at the top of the town. Andie treated us to a gelato and Don and I got a panini with cheese and prosciutto which we ate in the town square. The area has many vineyards which we sampled at our dinner at La Certosa Monastery that night. We had a guided tour through the monastery where only 4 monks aged 66-83 live. ...

      ... This exchange had been observed by the (very) old ladies on their balconies and doorways, and as we headed up the mountain, were happy to greet us.
