... attitude of the locals. We succumbed to Raoul, a friendly young local who was keen to take us around the island in his very comfy taxi, so off we set to the west coast of the island where the rich and famous love to holiday. He was very knowledgable about the island and all its history so it was a great couple of hours. He showed us the oldest church on the island, dating back to the early 1600's ...

But it's time to continue our adventure so back to the bus stop and the first one to come along is for Oistins. About 30 minutes later and we're there. It's jumping and we can tell its going to be a good night.

DAY 43 ….. February 28th ….. Cruising the Amazon & Crossing the Equator
Today we completed 1,700 miles / 3,500 kms traveling the Amazon and we crossed the Equator for the fourth time during this trip.
DAY 44 .... March 1st …….. At Sea
DAY 45 ……. March 2nd …… ...
... which is the exposed Atlantic side. To finish off our tour Angela dropped us at a beach where we could supposedly swim with the turtles. A helpful man took us to a place where we could rent some deck chairs and an umbrella for 'a good price mon' which turned out to be not a very good price but we paid it anyway. Then he introduced us to the man who would take us out on his boat for a discounted rate of $20 ...
... br> We went to the Palms Café for our breakfast, and we said hello to Paul and Lyn, who were also breakfasting outside in the Caribbean sunshine. We didn't actually have to disembark the ship and leave for the airport until 1.30pm, so we had the whole morning to spend in Bridgetown.
After breakfast we went back to 7054, picked up our hand-luggage, and took a last look round to make sure we hadn't forgotten anything. Then it was "bye bye" 7054 ...
