... a blast! The only issue we had was that I had a run in with my own Segway.
Less than 5 minutes into the trip, I was distracted by the beautiful surroundings and by making sure everyone was following along properly, that I did not see a large rock in my path and over I went, with my Segway landing on top of my leg. I was a bit squished and scraped but nothing major, except for the embarrassment ! The tour guides were so knowledgable and fun! The Segway's are cool ...
It's Sunday and Ruth and Malcolm are beginning to settle in.
Because it's the last day of the season we are compelled to head down to Surfside to watch the match and have some breakfast. As always we wonder down to the bus stop and on the way we exchange hellos with the neighbours.
Speaking of neighbours we have some new neighbours too - a couple of goats. They're very cute but Henry keeps wondering up and saying "curry" just to frighten ...
... Perhaps later on in the cruise.
Afterwards we went into the Havana Lounge to see Paul Eastwood, a comedian. The place was packed and we could only sit on bar stools near the back. I couldn't hear very well because of the noise of the barmen taking customer orders and mixing drinks, but what I did hear was very funny.
Then it was off to bed in B238 - tomorrow we were due to reach our first port of call, Curaçao in the Dutch ...
... to have a late lunch at a small restaurant called the Orange Street Grocer. We enjoyed a Margherita pizza and Spirte (with real sugar!) with a great view of the harbor. Then it was a tired two hour bus ride back to St. Laurence Gap. We ended the day eating dinner at the resort's "fancy" restaurant. I had some shrimp dish and a chocolate ice cream sandwich but we were thinking that we'll go back to Pisces tomorrow. What a day!
... I settled on a simple bowl and butter plate.
We ended up passing most of the day driving to, from, and shopping. It was late afternoon when we returned to the farm. A nap came upon me completely unexpectedly, so I gave in. The rest of the evening was spent watching fireflies, trying to find the Southern Cross, and eating some delicious creole food. Did I mention my jaw is killing me? Never should have ravaged those ...
