I had bacon, eggs, and toast for breakfast which was free from the hotel. I am sad to see Tennessee in my rearview mirror but I am headed to Atlanta. I drove through the mountains and then stopped for lunch at Chipotle for $9.30. I only ate half and will finish the rest for dinner. I stopped for gas in Atlanta at Chevron for $36.90.

A lobby boy remembers what people hate and knows their guests deepest secrets - some of which are frankly rather unseemly. These secrets will go to the grave of a lobby boy. I was staying at the Omni and she came down on a Sunday just to keep me company and took me on a CNN tour. We got out photo taken at a "news desk' and I found out that she kept it at her desk all these years. I KNEW there was no reason to have a web cam at my house! Anyone wanting to see me could just go over to Donna's desk. ;-)

... hour and a half. We turned up the radio and attempted to rock out to every song, singing lyrics to the distraught immobile drivers next to us. Most of the traffic surrounding Lorraine was uninterested in our antics, but since we were not on any sort of time schedule we could be patient with the holdup. There wasn’t any rush since we had not booked our room for Nashville in hopes the prices on the phone app would decrease later in the evening. Eventually ...

The alarm clock went off all too early, 7:30am. We left the hotel by 8:15am & were almost to the gate by 9:15am. Didn't take long at all to return the rental car & get checked in. There was a strike going on, so upon entering the airport the strikers all had whistles & were blowing them. It was deafening & don't know how they were able to get away with it. Jeff couldn't wait to get his coffee at Starbucks ...
