Wish us luck as we depart in the evening from Atlanta via Los Angeles continuing on the same aircraft to Sydney, Australia. We know that we will not see a seat in BusinessElite to Los Angeles but we are really keeping our fingers crossed (pray for us!) that we will be able to take advantage of the flat ...
Atlanta, Georgia, United States lisabeth.kay... a Publix turkey sub, with just a little lettuce... just like I used to order. Neither purchases disappointed. :) Sadly, this was the end of my happy time in Atlanta.

The next morning, I awoke to find that we were thoroughly entrenched in the bands of Tropical Storm Ida. Rain and wind, however, soon became the least of my worries. When we were done with load in, one of my actors came up to me and through garbled speech said "So, what are we going to do about the ...
Atlanta, Georgia, United States tourdev... a 3 level, 3 story high ropes adventure course that you climb all over whilst attached to a harness and overhead pulley system. You have to balance on beams and climb on and through ropes all high above the ground. It was a total adrenaline rush, we were amazed by the tiny kids doing it! It took us over an hour to get the whole course done.

Fortunately while we visited the ...
Atlanta, Georgia, United States bekandjesse... my ego and have certainly opened my awareness to a much wider arena of human thought and activity. India became both much more and much less than what I thought it was and that's ok because I say the same about my own country. The same sense of national denial is obvious in both places. There is 'no ego' in India just like there is 'no poverty' in America. Truth alone triumphs, indeed!
Atlanta, United States yogigAll good things must come to an end..., "they" say.
I guess so, but if you're lucky (or just an excellent planner)... more good things await you around the next corner.

I had a great trip. I met interesting people, saw amazing sights, ate delicious (and not so delicious) foods, and had many new experiences I will remember for the rest of my life. I'm sure there is so much more to say... but even after everything, it's still good to be home!

Atlanta, Georgia, United States lolly13... was too big to be in my carryon bag. He said I could go back and check my bag with the airline but that would cost me $15 to $25. I told him no and I hope he enjoyed the honey and went on my way to the gate.

It was a 5 hour flight back to Atlanta and we arrived home around 9:00 p.m.

Cartersville, Georgia, United States lovegossip909... with by Stacy, an old friend from Charleston and her roomate Meg(?). Any and Becky had to work early so we said our goodbyes and the girls took on the town. Good times and hilarity insued as it does during a night on the town with Stacy, and despite exceeding my budget, (which I keep close track of mentally) the Atalnta stop was much needed and well worth it.
Atlanta, Georgia, United States ericstripWe waited on the runway fo about 45 minutes then we took off. Those new GPS screens showed we circled several times over the Carolinas before heading north again. We circled again in NY then the pilot said we did not have enough gas to continue circling so we detoured to Syracuse to refuel. We were able to make phone calls and at this time it looked like there was no way to catch my flight. By the time we took off it was too late. I cried!!!
Atlanta, Georgia, United States gloshiv... Nashville - where our friends Ruth Ann and Frank are waiting for us. Word from Ruth Ann and Frank is that there are no cell signals at Natchez Trace, so we may be incommunicado for a few days. We'll stay there until Wednesday, when we'll move both motorhomes (Malone's and ours) to the infield of Nashville Motor Speedway. Next Saturday is an ARCA and a Busch Race there, and it should be great ...
