... passed us, each approx 150 + carriages and 3 kilometers long. I'm writing these blogs as I'm sitting on the train, lots of time while I sit and enjoy the vistas. Kamloops better than I expected,pretty place, mountains all around. The hotel is flash and we ate out 2 doors down The Noble Pig ale house and brewery! Sat outside in the mild evening ,doesn't get dark till about 10pm? Up early again tomorrow for our last day on the rocky mountaineer......another chance to see ...

This time heeding local advice (unlike my last flight from Toronto to Kamloops), we left for the airport when suggested, which turned out to be sage advice. From the counter delays at China Eastern to the passport official who abruptly decided at 2pm it was time to end the day (apparently the short work day also extended to airport staff) we had little downtime in the airport before our flight.

... front of our van, silly adolescent bear! Mum and Michael had the perfect view! Really hope I get the opportunity to see a bear soon! Once we got to Kamloops it was quite a boring large concrete town, in the valley of the mountains. Not much to do when there's no rodeo in town, so we changed our booking to just the 1 night.
