But onwards, we must find a place to stay for the night. An AMERICAN KESTREL sits on a hydro pole at the roadside. Such a beautiful creature!
Suddenly a familiar landmark appears on the river. Juniper Beach Provincial Park! We have stayed there a couple of times before but always forget where it is exactly. But there it is and we pull in to this little "birdy" oasis.

... pick up Jenny, Lachie, Tammy and Lachies mate James. They have come to spend a bit of time working in Canada. I tried to leave at 8 but it ended up a bit after that as Mike said it was about a 4 hour drive. It was a beautiful drive and it did take 4 hours. ... tunnels, lakes, bridges, a glacier and townships. There are too many to name but all were interesting and one of the Guest Services team described each one to us.

We we were also spoilt with service from all of the staff. They were very attentive and the food they supplied on the train was magnificent. Also any drinks you wanted during the trip were supplied whenever you wanted them. ...

Also, on our tour we spotted the elusive( and very common) Elk, Bucks with Racks, Does, no bambi's though. Another Black Bear (cinnamon), grazing on the grass. Baby Black bear, very cute, he bolted for the forest very quickly.
Up early again, heading off to our Rail Journey, on the Rocky Mountaineer!
11.00am, the RockyMountaineer is very comfortable. Food and beverages are delicious ...
