... was no sign of one so we bought a book to guide ourselves around the caves. A miniature train takes visitors from the boat to the bottom of the steps but we decided to walk and were greeted by a cow wandering around and then a goat sat on a bench! We paid a tiny amount in tourist tax then walked up the steps to the caves. Stalls lined the steps and monkeys scampered around. The book was right about one thing -the massive carving of Shiva with her eyes closed was one of the most serene sights in existence. Aurangabad tomorrow, from where we will see the Ajanta caves and the city of Ellora. Oh and I ate McDonalds!! I know, but it was so good!
