Travelling again
... was surprised by the disaster site. It looked a lot better than I expected. The recovery efforts are progressing a lot faster than I thought. There was still a lot of evidence to prove the disaster did hit Kesennuma/Oshima but the people were still all smiles. A golden past
... the countless buildings across Japan. That's a good thing, as there is very little else left standing in Hiraizumi and the attractions mainly consist of foundation stones marking the locations of once grand buildings. Riding around in the bus covering all the different sites across town, the driver anticipated the boredom of the passengers and started singing old songs about the region. At least that is what the others told us.

... to go up to the swimming pool alone. My dad wanted to catch up on some business, but he would meet us later. The pool was really fun, it wasn't like a normal 25m pool, it was a massive blue tiled pool with a massive window that showed us the whole of Tokyo. This hotel is the most incredible hotel I have ever been too!
