The Finals and our final day in HK

I broke the usual routine of eggs and toast for breakfast. We are trying to deplete the supplies in the fridge. So it was PB and honey on toast with a large Starbuck's coffee. Every morning Jen or Bruce have beaten me to the punch and had coffee ready for me when I roll out of bed. However I have been the last to bed every night, completing my blogging homework. After breakfast we all headed to the club to have a hit at 8:30 before the final matches started at 9. Then I did ...

It was still somewhat early so we headed back across the river and grabbed some more beers from a 7/11 (does this make us sound like drunks?) and walked up to this beautiful public viewing area. This is right next to the ferry station and is THE place for watching the light show. The music is played here and you have a perfect view of the HK skyline, including the IFC building. If you want to sit during the light show, which lasts about 30 minutes, ...

Day in Honkers then late departure from HK to Rome

The girls leave HK to go Rome... Flight leaves at 12.15am so all day to see Honkers

After a much deserved sleep in we headed to the Ladies markets near Nathan Road. My, what a treat for the nasal passages.

Picked up a few cheap things but nothing to rave about. HK is not cheap and most things are equal in price or more than Australia.

    Came back for a ...

    Exploring Kowloon and NYE

... He was happy so we headed back to the hotel to rest before the fireworks and the crowds.

NYE was horrible. We were stuck in the crowd jam packed for 2 hours and
in that time only got far enough to see a quarter of the fireworks. To
top it off it took forever to get home. Not a very nice experience. The
only good thing I can say is I got to spend NYE with the person I love
and that is the most important thing.

    Happy New Years Everyone :)
