    ... well preserved ruins and is one of the most highly visited tourist attractions in Tunisia. Of course, being on our own again had its pluses. The shame was that unlike Oudhna, we did not have a guide book and so we had little idea what we were looking at.

    ... enough special treatment on the tour, including a room change here. After awhile, it begins to be an irritant.

    The Algerian group was too old and this one is a bit too independent--individualists--to come together very much. John was by far the best of the lot. A final bit of wifi and off a bit early with bright sunshine. The SS Helen has the most grotesque cackle. Great, got the Fashion Police as a seatmate.

    ... for dinner. His wife gave us an enormous bowl of couscous. Lying on the couscous were whole carrots, hard-boiled eggs, mandioca, sweet onions, chicken meat, and hot peppers. "Bneen!" I said. (Delicious!) Monsoor closed his eyes and kissed the air.
