... that we’re essentially in a holiday resort, not unlike Magaluf in Spain, where people come to spend a week or two on a beach. This feels weird to us, we’ve not experienced this feeling since we left eastern Australia, and even then it wasn’t really the same. Two Indonesian kids were horsing around asking for a few Rupia to jump from the vessel. We ...

We ended up exploring around the hotel grounds and found ourselves settling our butts on this couch facing the sea waiting for sunset. The ambience is great and we felt relatively undisturbed. We ordered some drinks and finger food, while awaiting for the sun to call it a day. Though the day was relatively overcasted, my friend and I did enjoy the sunset ...

... not that bothered about going in, but I wanted to. Walking back to our hotel we passed a football field where two teams from Ubud were playing in a regional final. It had drawn quite a crowd and Terry wanted to stay and watch, so we found a seat in a little restaurant that overlooked the football field and had a couple of beers. Neither team played very well, the ball sounded flat and the final score, even after extra time was 0-0. In the ...
