... but instead sucked it up, checked in and with voucher in hand wandered into the departure lounge to get my free coffee.
Granted I am pretty useless when travelling on my own, and I should have learned from the Thailand fiasco but a little bit of understanding and assurance would have been nice from the check in clerks that I dealt with. It would probably be a little immature and *****y to mention that it was Jetstar that I was flying with, so I wont.
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia travellinpixie... Park, not far from Stanthorpe QLD. Campfires allowed, there is a lovely creek, spring time native flowers and some easy walks through the rocky landscape. Time to chill out- yes it ...
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia kathandsheila... weighing about 16k, carrying small day pack and small travel handbag – returned with small day pack now attached to backpack and weighing 23k, an additional much larger day pack (damn heavy), larger handbag from Koln/Cologne and another large bag from San Fran. But hey that all pales into insignificance next to Rosa’s spectacular work – sent home around 45k, replaced pink bag with San Fran bag, replaced small handbag with Paris bag (larger), crammed daypack ...
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia jrriley8... the water. That night we went to a BBQ Steak place and had some Ozzy-Q. Pretty good, but not as good as my brother's.

The next day was our last full day with our Mom's. So, we dedicated to do some shopping! We all went downtown and wondered around, Brian went to a hotel and watched basketball. Us girls had fun though. We walked all around that day and went to the city clock tower (that was not open) and to a cathedral ...
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia unbound... desire including a jetted bathtub as well as the glass enclosed shower. Something I find interesting in Australia is the plumbing. Every bathroom has a drain in the floor. Every toilet has a dual flush system and yes the water does go down clockwise (the opposite to our in the Northern Hemisphere)! The beautiful view from our room is onto the Noosa River. The hotel has a lovely pool with a swim up bar (not that I ever went ...
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia acctaste09 April. We had a bit of a sleep-in this morning and after our walk Dave spent many frustrating hours trying to sort out car insurance for the Northern Territories (if we ever get there!). All his hard work paid off and a short stroll up the road saw the lovely ladies at AAMI Insurance sort him out. As it was after 5pm somewhere in the world we celebrated by having a couple of glasses of wine each at a lovely little ...
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia nz2uk... back down south and stayed in Redcliffe for the night near the beach again. Had a bit of a party again and it was a good laugh. Luckily got the vans back in 1 piece Thursday afternoon. We had to check back into the Brisbane Backpackers for the night because our appartment was,nt going to be ready for another day. Got a smaller room this time and it had a telly so it wasnt to bad. Moving in day finally arrived. What the landlord thinks is ...
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia oz2009... wink, wink, I understand that only 4 people can stay in this place" discussion. Sydney was great, as the time was spent just hanging out with my parents, walking through some markets, and then the botanical gardens (where no less than 7 weddings were in progress), before posing for the requisite picture in front of the Sydney Opera House. The children were duly spoiled by their grandparents and left town happy. In return they ...
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia elopfamily... the east coast beach, stopping and swimming at a wicked freshwater creek (freshwater croc free =]). The beastly toyota got stuck in the soft sand a few times but we soon reached base camp, set up tents and got smashed through some awesome drinking games! The second day was spent further up the coast and on the last day we stopped at Lake Mackenzie, one of the worlds top ten beaches, which won't be forgotten anytime soon! There were plenty of Dingoes roaming around our camp and ...
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia commandercool... d got very fertile imaginations. The next day, in a departure from the Brisbane gay scene, we trotted off to see and hold Koalas. We managed to do just that for a fraction of the cost of holding a Panda in China. It was great to hold one of these cuties and even getting marooned in the mother of all thunderstorms didn't make the day a total washout. Anyway, we're off to Sydney now before returning to Brisbane in a couple of weeks so g'day... Take Care A&Vx
